For Auntie

I see you in every sunset

with birds in flight

between cloud and horizon

above the ocean

stretching

beyond into the great

unknown

where now you live

In every breath and

sigh of the earth

your voice echoes

I can in each curve

find your shape as

warm and inviting as ever

Or as the wave brushes

lightly over the shore

your fingerprints remain

eternally in the sand.
